Yoga Classes

Last year in addition to my growing business, I also became a registered yoga teacher. It's something I had wanted to do for many years and finally did it.
Up until mid-March I was teaching twice a week at a small local yoga studio here in South Portland. Then I taught virtually for two months, deciding very recently to venture out on my own.
I specialize in yoga classes for creative people. Whether you work with clay, fiber, wood, metal, or maybe your creative tool is a pen for writing, playing a musical instrument or singing, these classes are designed for you in mind. Being a potter and craft artist myself, we tend to hold our bodies in certain ways while we work that can lead to chronic pain. And, as a creative person, I know the challenges one can face when coming up with a new shape, image, written word and how to implement these ideas!
Join me every Thursday virtually via Zoom from 4:30-5:30 pm for a gentle and mindful yoga flow. Yoga means to "yolk" or union. Together we will combine centering, breath work and asana (yoga postures) to become more embodied physically, emotionally and mentally.

These 60 minute classes will be great for beginners, those who practice sporadically and even those who are devoted yogis. Every class will focus on a targeted physical area of the body and address proper alignment, while also diving deeper into a specific theme. These themes could touch open one or more of the following: Chakras, Mudras, Pranayama, Koshas, meridians pertaining to Traditional Chinese Medicine and more.
Want to join me? Here are the details:
Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 pm EST
Your home on your streaming device via Zoom.
How Much?
Payment will be on a sliding scale. You pay what you can. Either $8, $10 or $12. A typical studio in Maine charges $15 per class, but I want to make this accessible to those of you that may be struggling right now. I ask in return that you share this with anyone that may want to join so the word can be spread. Those interested do not have to be artists, just people that want to share the practice with us.

How Do I Sign Up?
Sign up here! About an hour before class starts, I will send you the Zoom link. Please have a yoga or exercise mat and a thin blanket that you can fold up a few times. If you additional props, I'll let you know in the Zoom link email.
